Most Asked Questions When Shipping Car To Hawaii

How long does it take for my vehicle to get to Hawaii?
Once loaded onto the vessel the ocean time is approximately five days. Once the vessel arrives in Hawaii, the port takes an additional 7-10 days to unload all of the containers. All vehicles shipping to Hawaii go to the Port of Honolulu. If your vehicle is going to another island, then your vehicle will be barged over to the destination port. This can take up to an additional five days. Auto Transport Customer service at the destination port will call you when your vehicle is ready for pickup.

How do I get my vehicle to one of the ocean ports to ship to Hawaii?
You can deliver the vehicle yourself, or have one of our auto transporters pick up your vehicle in the city and state where the vehicle is located in. Can I pay

No. Payment must be made before the car is shipped. If payment is not received in advance of shipment, the vehicle will be held until such time as all requirements have been met and space is available on a vessel. My vehicle is larger than typical vehicles.

Is there going to be an additional charge? In order to determine exact cost, you will need to contact your Hawaii auto transport company with the actual dimensions of your vehicle in order to determine any additional oversized vehicle charges.

What if I am not able to pick up my vehicle the day it arrives at its destination?
You have a specified time period to pick up your vehicle once the vessel arrives at the destination port. After that time, it is placed into storage and is subject to storage fees.
